Ten Spreads for Movement Chaplains
New people, welcome! I did not plan this timing well! Friday posts mostly look like this or this. But this week instead of writing about the Knight of Pentacles, I am behaving like her— stubborn, self-focused, a little fixated on the tangible. I spent the morning yelling at my own Squarespace because I’m not good at tech stuff but refused to try an easier or better way. Classic Knight.
Which is to say, hi everyone! I made a book of spreads! It’s called Ten Spreads for Movement Chaplains. I created it as part of my movement chaplaincy certification (which is v different than chaplaincy board certification, it’s confusing). The spreads were originally designed for use when doing spiritual support for organizers, but apply out to pretty much anything. There’s some abstract stuff (a States of Matter spread), some practically-oriented stuff (a spread for being called out), and even a TV-related one. I’m pretty excited about it. You can buy it here for $12 (and get in touch if that’s out of range, I’ll just email it to you). It’s a PDF of JPGs so it won’t work with a screenreader, hmu and I can send you the audio version directly if that’s better for you.
I also updated my website! You can now book readings and lessons directly through the site instead of having to back-and-forth with me. Sliding scale is still 100% available. Website related reminder that I run Trans 201 trainings— if your workplace/ group/ whatever knows the trans basics but aren’t, like, good at it, send them to me. The most important website update is that I removed the picture of me with unbelievably bad facial hair even though I was standing in front of a really cool mural of The Fool somewhere in Montreal.
Another thing is that when the pandemic started, I made Pop Tarot free with a paid option and said that I’d switch it back to a paid model when we got out of lockdown. That… did not happen, clearly, and it won’t before I get through the deck (there are only 13 cards left?!). So that’s it, I’m calling it, Pop Tarot is free until the end. If you can, I’d love it if you did paid subscribe, though— it’s $5/ month and there’s only a few more months left, which would be not a ton of $$ for you but a meaningful amount to me if a bunch of people did it.
Lastly, as we’re closing in, this is the time to pitch guest posts! Ideally they are about tarot and media, but they can absolutely be just about either. I will trade you for a reading and I have a limited number of $50 slots (it’s out of pocket, sorry it’s not more). If you are on the fence about pitching, climb on over, I want to hear from you and I promise I am not very scary at all.
Also it’s my six year T anniversary today and honestly I aced a reading earlier and Bryan Fuller read and liked my Hannibal piece, so. Good fuckin day for me.
